So I have finally made my first ATC's!... and I am in love!! I love how they turned out... the colors the texture. I decided I couldn't part with them! I did make 2 more ATC's and I am trading one of them, but I will wait to post until I know my swapper got theirs. Be on the lookout for a post of them shortly! Have a great day and Happy Crafting!

Dragon Fly 52 Card Challenge
Hello, I was asked how I made my recent Dragonfly Heart 5,6, and 7 playing cards. I will try and share the process with you here. All of my images came from Pinterest I find a LOT on there. I just searched Vintage and looked through, saving all the pictures as I went. I started the cards off with a vintage newspaper image. I printed that off on my Ink jet printer. I then tore it up into smaller pieces and glued them to my playing card using matte mod podge. I then laid down a thin coat of gesso using my finger. Next I used my watercolor pencils (Link Here) to color the ripped edges of my paper. Spraying the playing card and dipping the pencil with water when needed. I then added more color using the Tim Holtz Distress Stains in Broken China and Picked Raspberry. I used a paint brush and tried to stay near the torn lines, again spraying as needed. I went back and forth between the stains and my black watercolor pencil. After drying using my heat gun I sponged the edges using Ranger Archival Ink in black. I just use cheap makeup sponges and cut them into smaller pieces to do my inking. I then used a mesh stamp in the black ink then dried before stamping with a script stamp in Archival Leaf Green, stamping then immediately wiping it off with a paper towel so it wasn't so dark. Next the Dragonflies again were found on Pinterest I printed them on my Ink jet printer and covered them with a layer of Tim Holtz Distress Glaze. This will keep your image from smearing when you coat it with a layer of the matte mod podge. I printed the dragonfly pictures off on a thin card stock so I reinforced the back with a small square of thicker card stock. I then used a paper distress tool on the edges to get the ripped effect. I again sponged the edges with the Black archival ink. After that was done I used a 3/4" circle punch with some green card stock to punch the circles and used a small tag punch on some random card stock I had made some time ago in the same colors I was using. I glued the tag to the circle and then to the back of the dragonfly. Using a very thin black pen, I drew sketchy lines around the circle and the tag. To finish up I used some black sewing thread and mangled it up and glued it to the back of the dragonfly piece and then to the card. The last thing I did was splatter thinned out white paint and attach the sayings which again were found on Pinterest and printed out. I hope this is helpful and makes sense on how I made them. I do want to say I do not own the images of the dragonflies, the newspaper nor the sayings. I just found them on Pinterest and are using them for personal use only. Have a great day and Happy Crafting!

3" x 3" Art Pages
Here are some 3" x 3" Art Pages I made. I was planning on making several and then turning them into a small book... However the book fell through and I just use the pages on my wall as decoration.
They too are made using Tim Holtz Distress ink in a array of colors and some use his Chit Chat stickers. I also have washi tape, rub-ons and stamps. I really like the way these turned out! My favorite is the butterfly one! Have a great day and Happy Crafting! ~Ashley~

ATC wanna be's?
For my first post of crafty-ness. I have a set of six cards that I made using free digi's from Useless Trinkets. I absolutely love there digi's and had to use them some how. I was going to make some ATC's, but I ended up cutting my watercolor pieces out bigger than the normal size, so I just went with it. They measure approx. 3" x 3.75" The sentiments come from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Snarky sticker books. The inspiration came from my favorite YouTuber of all Time Vicky Papaioannou, If you want to get into Art Journaling or want to learn more I highly recommend her 2 part video Art Journal 101 I followed her simple techniques on the background and I love the way the colors and the images turned out.

Wow!!! 7 years since my last post!!
A lot of things have changed! That’s to say the least. I stopped my YouTube channel and stopped posting, but I’ve still been as crafty as ever! I’ve since gotten into to Art Journaling and started working on better cards (at least I hope they are 😀) I would like to start posting to the blog again, just some cards here and there and some of my art journal pages as well. It’s been a hard last year or two for everyone and a hard last 7 for me, but crafting has kept the crazy away! (For the most part 😉) I would like to share my work for someone to see. I hope you all have been well. Have a great day! Happy crafting!

MFT Color Palette Challenge 8 :)
For the card it is a 4-bar size (3 1/2" x 4 7/8") my new fave to make! I used a couple of studio g stamps for the inside sentiment, bats, pumpkin and Dracula and the MFT Mini Banner Day Alphabet Set for the BOO on the front stamped on the MFT Mini Banner Die... The fence is a Martha Stewart punch (not sure of the name?)... and I punched the corners using a EK Success corner punch (again not sure of the name)... I colored everything using my colored pencils and gamsol... that's pretty much it I finished off with my clear sakura star dust pen.. I really like how it turned out especially since I have been crafting a whole lot... Well I hope to be updating and posting more soon, but until I do... Have a great day and Happy Crafting!
